If you haven’t started making arrangements to get your property prepared for an impending storm, the time is now. Don’t wait until the last minute to get things in order.

If you live in the area, there are a variety of things you can do to prepare. Clean up loose debris around your property, prepare your hurricane kit and make sure your shutters work properly. If your shutters are the removable kind, make sure you take inventory of each one. Missing bolts should be replaced immediately.

One of the most stressful parts of hurricane season is the panic that ensues once a storm has been spotted in the Gulf. Many people put off preparing which creates a mad rush to all stores. Local news stations have a variety of useful resources you can utilize to prepare your home and your family for a hurricane. There are several links provided for you along the left side of this page. You can even view a hurricane tracker. Be sure to bookmark this site and the others so that you can find them quickly in the event of an impending storm.
